Serving God never meant life would be a cake walk. In these last days adversity lurks around the corner more times than not for those making their life count for eternity. We can always overcome, in all circumstances, when we make God’s word final authority. 2 Timothy 3:1 declares. “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.” The Berkley translation declares. “…That in the last days there are troublesome times impending.”The Taylor translation declares, “… That in the last days it is going to be very difficult to be a Christian.” I am not a gloom and doom minister. 2 Corinthians 2:14 declares, “Now thanks be unto God, which always causes us to triumph in Christ and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.”
Charles de Gaulle once said, “A man’s character finds a special attractiveness in difficulty, since it is only by coming to grips with difficulty that he can realize his potentialities.” Helen Keller once said. “We could never learn to be brave and patient, if there were only joy in the world.” Samuel Rutherford once said, “Grace grows best in the winter.” Psalm 34:19 declares “Many are the afflictions of the righteous: BUT THE LORD DELIVERS HIM OUT OF THEM ALL”What adversity are you facing that God’s word doesn’t already have final authority over?
Proverb 24:10 declares. “If thou faint in the day adversity thy strength is small.” In all circumstances we have to rise up with the authority of God’s word and speak to every mountain. The word spoken will deliver you. The word will walk you through the fire. The word of God will shake the unseen forces of hell around you. The word of God will cause you to do and receive the impossible. 1 John 4:4 declares. “Ye are of God little children and have overcome them, because GREATER IS HE THAT IS IN YOU, than he that is in the world.”
We want to charge you to address those things that may be coming against you with the final authority of God’s word. God has equipped you and empowered you in difficult times to walk triumphant in Christ Jesus. Do not accept anything less than what God’s word declares about your situation. We love and appreciate you and are expecting great things ahead for you in Christ Jesus!
