We are pressing onward and upward with the Lord and very exited to see lives impacted by the Word of God and the mighty move of the Holy Spirit. I believe God that the month of October will be filled with great blessing for you and your family. I want to encourage you to guard over your soul and hear with diligence.
Proverbs 4:23 declares, “KEEP YOUR HEART with all diligence: tor out of it are the issues of life.” The Knox translation declares. “Use all thy watchfulness to KEEP THY HEART TRUE: that is the fountain from whence life springs.” The New English Bible declares, “GUARD YOUR HEART more than any other treasure, for it is the source of all life.” We are commanded by the Word of God to keep our spirit man strong and protected from the many contaminations of the world.
Our hearts must not only be given to God, but kept for God. Proverbs 23:26 declares, “My son GIVE ME THINE HEART, and let thine eyes observe my ways.” We give our hearts to God when we become a new creation, we keep our hearts as we renew our minds to regeneration. We must remember our hearts are the soil or garden that we must continually plant God’s Word in to maintain a healthy walk or spiritual growth.
In 1st Corinthians 3:6, the Apostle Paul declared, “I have PLANTED, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase.” The Living Bible declares. “My work was to PLANT THE SEED IN YOUR HEARTS, and Apollos’ work was to WATER IT, but it was God, not we, who made the GARDEN GROW IN YOUR HEARTS.” We must see ourselves as farmers over the soil of our spiritual walk. We must not only plant the seeds of God’s Word in our hearts, but also keep satan from invading our hearts with his deception and agenda.
When we fill our hearts with God we will avoid the pitfall of what happened to a certain man named Ananias and Sapphira, his wife. Acts 5:3 declares, “But Peter said, Ananias, why has SATAN FILLED THINE HEART to lie to the Holy Ghost and keep back part of the price of the land?” Ananias and Sapphira allowed satan to plant seeds in their minds, that eventually got down into their hearts making them act in deception. Let’s determine to stay built up in the Word and prayer and obedience to God.
