As we enter the month of March, we must not forget what 2 Corinthians 5:7 declares, “For we walk by faith, not by sight.” The Twentieth Century translation declares, “For we guide our lives by faith, and not by what we see.” The NIV declares, “We live by faith, not by sight.” With all the uncertainties of this life, we must place all our confidence in the Word of the living God. Circumstances can mount against you and take on many different forms contrary to God’s Word, but we must never be shaken or moved away from the promises of God which hold final authority!
Stand Against the Day of Evil Reports
Isaiah 53:1 declares, “Who hath believed our report? And to whom hath the arm of the Lord revealed?” Taylor’s translation declares, “But, oh, how few believe it! Who will listen? To whom will God reveal His saving power?” Amplified Bible declares, “Who hath believed- trusted in relied upon and clung to – our message of that which was revealed to us? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been disclosed?” In an hour of negative circumstances and perilous times, the question remains, what report will you believe, truth or circumstance? We must be established in God’s Word and trust in, rely upon and cling to it as our reality and final authority! In the day of evil reports, we will stand on God’s Word!
Casting Down Wrong Thoughts
The devil would love nothing more than to captivate your thought life with his distractions. We are required to think according to the Word! What reports, problems or issues are you facing that is attempting to derail your trust in the Word of God? We are commanded in the Word of God to cast those negative thoughts down and bring them into submission to the Word of God! 2 Corinthians 10:5 declares, “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing into captivity every thought to obedience of Christ.” The BAS translation declares, “Putting an end to reasonings, and every high thing which is lifted up against the knowledge of God, and causing every thought to come under the authority of Christ.” Whatever high thoughts attempt to undermine God’s Word, kick it to the curb, cast it down and out!
Fill Your Mind and Heart with the Word
Proverbs 4:20-24 declares, “My son, attend to my words; incline thine ears unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine heart. For they are life to them that find the, and health to all their flesh. Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it flows the issues of life.” The Spurrell’s translation declares, “With all watchfulness guard thine heart; for out of it flow the actions of life.” A heart unattended by the Word will be filled with unproductive and vain pursuits. When we take the proper time to feed on the Word and hide it in our hearts, walking in the realm of faith becomes normal! When contrary circumstances or reports come to the front door of your life, you will be well equipped to combat them through the rich deposits of the Word already planted in the soil of your heart!
Confess the Realities of Faith into All Circumstances
Proverbs 18:21 declares, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.”The Knox translation is amazing. “Of life and death, the tongue holds the keys; use it lovingly, and it will requite thee.”Your words will either unlock the rich treasure of Heaven to you or keep you locked in the snares of death’s circumstances and evil reports! Proverbs 6:2 declares, “Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken captive with the words of thy mouth.” The BSA declares, “You are taken as in a net by the words of your mouth, the sayings of your lips have overcome you.” Determine in the face of all odds to speak the Word only. God will watch over the words of your lips and deliver you!
We are standing with you and greatly appreciate your friendship to this ministry. Remember we are people of faith in God’s Word! His Word will never fail you! The best is yet to
