We have the Creator of the universe living on the inside of us! Colossians 1:27 declares, “To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.” The CP Translation declares, “In them God wanted to exhibit among all races what is a priceless thing this glorious mystery is, the mystery of Christ’s indwelling presence with you all, the basis of the glory.” The Amplified Bible declares, “To whom God was pleased to make known how great for the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is, Christ within and among you, the hope of (realizing) the glory.”
Have we realized the magnitude of being new creations in Christ? Christ now lives back on the inside of the heart of every believer! The secret purpose of Christ being united to you and I was to place His glory back on the inside and reveal the conquering champion of death, hell and the grave, Jesus! Emmanuel is always with us because He lives on the inside of us! The New English Bible declares, “To whom it was His will to make it known- to make it known how rich and glorious it is among all nations.
The secret is this: Christ in you, the hope of the glory to come. Christ is not only the reason for the season, but the reason for life, period!
The Government Bailout from Heaven
Isaiah 9:6-7 (a) declares, “For unto us a Child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulders: and His name shall be called, Wonderful, Counselor, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government there shall be not end…”.
For the Christian, we are to place all our confidence in heaven’s government plan! The government of heaven is stabilized and strong through His amazing might power and grace! His government is a government of increase and provision! Natural government has never been the answer for man!
Let’s take a look at U.S. Government’s Treasury bailouts since 2001
(short version):
2001-Airline Industry: President Bush signs guarantees.
2008-Bear Stearns: JP Morgan and the federal government bail out Bear St earns when the financial giant nearly collapses. JP Morgan purchases Bear Stearns for $236 million and Federal Reserve provides a $30 billion credit line.
2008-Fannie Mai/Freddie Mac: Both Freddie and Fannie are essentially nationalized and placed under the conservatorship of the Federal Housing Finance Agency. The Treasury invested billions to cover the company’s losses. $100 billion is invested in each company and later raised to $200 billion as authorized by the Housing and Economic Recovery Act.
2008-AIG: On four separate occasions, the government offers aid to keep AIG from collapsing: $85 billion initial credit line combined by a $180 billion effort between the Treasury ($70 billion) and Fed ($110 billion). $40 billion of the Treasury’s is also included in the TARP total.
2008-Auto Industry: Congress approves more than $630 billion spending bill.
2008-Troubled Asset Relief Program: Congress passed the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act which authorizes the Treasury Department to spend $700 billion to combat the financial crisis in America by distributing the money to different programs in need.
2008-Citigroup: Citigroup receives $25 billion through TARP and in October another $20 billion, and November another $45 billion. Additional aid comes in the form of government guarantees to limit losses from $300 billion of pooled assets. In addition to the Treasury’s $5 billion commitment, the FDIC has committed $10 billion and the Federal Reserve up to $220 billion.
2009-Bank of America: Bank of America receives $45 billion through TARP, which includes $10 billion originally meant for Merrill Lynch. In addition, the government makes guarantees to limit losses from $118 billion pool of troubled assets. Also, to the Treasury’s $7.5 billion commitment, the FDIC has committed $2.5 billion and Federal Reserve up to $87.2 billion.
Let’s place all of our confidence in Him and the government of heaven that lives within us. Let’s execute our lives in line with His word and will.
