As we enter the month of August, I want to encourage you to reflect on the power of the spoken Word of God. Faith is a force that changes things in the natural. Faith has the capacity to move mountains.. We know that the world we live in and all its invisible attributes came into existence by the spoken Word of God Himself. In the face of all the negative talk coming through the media and others around us, we must proclaim God’s Word in contrast!
We must have an honest evaluation. If we checked up on our conversation, can we confidently say we have been speaking in line with the Word? Or have we agreed with our natural circumstances? Proverbs 18:21 declares, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” The Knox Translation declares, “Of life and death, the tongue holds the keys; use it lovingly and it will requite thee.” The Moffat’s Translation declares, “Death and life are determined by the tongue.” There are many “neg a holic” Christians in the world today that have never have taken the time to discipline their mouths to speak in line with God’s Word.
Our words are reflections of our believing and what fills our hearts. In Matthew 12:34-37, Jesus declared, “O generation of vipers. How can ye, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. But this I say unto you, that every idle word man shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy worlds thou shalt be condemned.” Our words are indicators of the meditation and filling of our hearts. If we are feeding on the Word, then the Word will come forth from our lips and chart our future filled with conquest!
Faith is released with God’s Words on our tongue. When we decree the Word of God our world is framed correctly and in order. God is then delighted to perform His promises to those who genuinely believe Him. Words from a faith-filled heart are the keys that unlock God’s blessing and knock down barriers! Job 22:28 declares, “Thou shall decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee…”. The Amplified Bible declares, “You shall also decide and decree a thing, and it shall be established for you; and the light (of God’s favor) shall shine upon your ways.” Job 6:25 declares, “How forcible are right words.” When we decide to speak in line with God’s Word, our words become powerful force to change the world around us!
Two worlds are hinging on the words we speak, the forces of Heaven and the forces of darkness. Jeremiah 1:12 declares, “Then saith the Lord unto me, thou hast well seen: for I hasten my words to perform.” We must remember Jesus spoke as a man having authority and not as the scribes and pharisees. His words carried weight. His words set the captives free. His words healed the sick. His words cast out devils. His words brought order. His words enabled the impossible to happen. He spoke those things which He heard the Father say and do. His words created an atmosphere for the miraculous! His words changed the world forever! His words were words heard and backed by Heaven!
Make a decision to speak just like God Himself. Ephesians 5:1 declares, “Be ye followers of God as dear children…”. The Twentieth Century Translation declares, “Therefore imitate God, as His dear children….”. The Word lives in you. Release Him on the world around you for amazing change. We are to believe God’s Word and speak boldly His promises. God is faithful to His Word! We love and appreciate you always. Thank you for your loving support.
