As we move into this brand new year, I have excitement in my heart that we will see God move in such an amazing way. I want to encourage you…God has great plans to bless you and your family. Expect it, believe it, and declare this is your best year yet! In spite of all the economic adversity, God’s Word and His ability has not changed. Hebrews 13:8 declares, “Jesus Christ in THE SAME YESTERDAY, and TODAY, and FOREVER.” The Stevens Translation declares, “Christ, who SUSTAINED and STRENGTHENED THEM, will EQUALLY AID US, and all HIS FOLLOWERS, NOW and ALWAYS.” Do not be shaken. Don’t be moved. Jesus hasn’t changed. He’s still the same.”
I believe great opportunities await those who have been faithful to live the Word. Right in the middle of natural drought and hard times, God promises to bless and aid those whom He loves. Jeremiah 17:7-8 declares, “Blessed is the man that TRUSTETH IN THE LORD, and whose hope the lord is. For he shall be as a TREE PLANTED BY THE WATERS, and that spreadeth out her Roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaves shall be green; and shall not be careful IN THE YEARS OF DROUGHT, neither SHALLCEASE FROM YIELDING FRUIT.” The Moffatts Translation declares, “…He goes on bearing fruit in days of drought and lives serene.” the Jerusalem Translation says, “…It has NO WORRIES IN THE YEARS OF DROUGHT and never CEASE BEARING FRUIT.”
In John 15:16, Jesus declared, “You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that YE SHOULD BRING FORTH MUCH FRUIT, and that YOUR FRUIT SHOULD REMAIN: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it to you.” According to Jesus, we were chosen and ordained to bear much fruit. Our fruit should not be short lived, but lasting and eternal. C.H. Surgeon declared, “I would put it to you, my dear hearer, have you been fruitful? Have you been fruitful with your wealth? Have you been fruitful with your talent? Have you been fruitful with your time? What are you doing for Jesus now?”
So many are expecting God to bring forth fruit in their lives and are not doing their part to obey and honor the Word. They claim the blessings of God but haven’t qualified for them by their determined obedience. There has always been a Godward side and a manward side. Some are deceiving themselves by not doing what the Word tells them to do. James 1:22 declares, “But be ye DOERS OF THE WORD, and not HEARERS ONLY, DECIEVING YOUR OWN SELVES.”God is calling all believers to be doers.
Proverbs 6:6-11 declares, “Go to the ants, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise: Which have no guide, overseer, or ruler, provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food for harvest. How long wilt thou sleep, o sluggard? When wilt thou arise out of thy sleep? Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep: so shall thy poverty come as one that traveled, and thy want as a armed man.” Here we see the demise of the one who hears but does not do. We believe God will continue to bless you the doer! We love and believe in you and know God will continue to pour out His blessing over you always! Thank you for your friendship and love to our lives and ministry.
