Walking In Love

by Chris D'Amico

We are believing God that the month of June will be fruitful for His kingdom.

God wants to use you to impact others around you with His love. Have you noticed lately how stressed and burdened people seem to be? The housing market continues to decline with millions of Americans in foreclosure and even more facing the same possible fate. Gas prices are fast approaching five dollars a gallon and the cost of living is going up. People are struggling and we must reach out and encourage others who are burdened down.

Jesus declared in John 13:34-35, “A new commandment I give unto you. that ye LOVE ONE ANOTHER; AS I HAVE LOVED YOU, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” The Knox’s translation declares, “The MARK by which all men will know you for my disciples will be the LOVE you bear for one another.” Robert Browning once said, “Take away love and the earth is a tomb.” Love always seeks to help others, never working hurt to their lives. When we walk in the God-Kind of love, we will think about what is best for others. Selfish people harm others. Love seeks to encourage, inspire, and point others toward God.

Philippians 2:3-5 declares, “Let nothing be done through STRIFE or VAINGLORY; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better that themselves. LOOK NOT EVERY MAN ON HIS OWN THINGS, but every man also on THE THINGS OF OTHERS.” We are to have Christ’s attitude toward our fellow man, to help and not hinder. Are you part of the answer or the problem?

Romans 5:5 declares, “And hope maketh not ashamed; because the LOVE OF GOD IS SHED ABROAD IN OUR HEARTS by the HOLY GHOST.” The Contemporary English translation declares. “God has given us the Holy Spirit who has FILLED OUR HEARTS WITH HIS LOVE.” When we receive Christ as our Savior. His love nature is imparted into our spirit man instantly. Yet we are required by the Word of God to walk in love. Ephesians 5: 1-2 declares, “Be ye therefore followers of God. as dear children. And WALK IN LOVE, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savior.” The Williams Translation declares, “Practice LIVING IN LOVE.” The Knox’s Translation declares, “ORDER YOUR LIVES IN LOVE.” If you’re not walking in love, change the order and practice love.

We want to encourage you to reach out and love others. Don’t be part of the problem. Consider the welfare of others first and God will bless your life greatly. We love and appreciate you very much.
