As we enter the month of December, we come to the close of another well invested year in the purpose and plan of God for our lives! With the Christmas holiday here we can rejoice over His wonderful faithfulness to us all. For many, this year was filled with great obstacles and has required perseverance. God truly has been faithful. We declare we will trust god always and at all times. regardless of world events, the results of our political process or a challenging economic time, we must continue to put our entire confidence in God. His word and His faithfulness will help us remain fixed in uncertain times. God is with us and we will remain stable in unstable times. Psalms 46:1-2 (Message Bible) declares, “God is our SAFE PLACE to hide, READY TO HELP when we need him. We STAND FEARLESS at the cliff-edge of doom, COURAGEOUS in sea storms and earthquakes.”
Trusting in the Faithfulness of God
We are not looking to man, government or any other source to anchor us in these last days. We will place our confidence in the character of God and His faithfulness according to the promise of His word. 1 Corinthians 1:9 declares, “GOD IS FAITHFUL, by whom ye were CALLED into the FELLOWSHIP of HIS SON Jesus Christ our Lord.”The Living Bible declares, “God will SURELY DO this for you, for He ALWAYS DOES WHAT HE SAYS, and He is the one who INVITED YOU INTO this WONDERFUL FRIENDSHIP WITH HIS SON, even Christ our Lord.” We must be reassured that God will never let us down. He will remain faithful to the divine promises made to His own. Although at times we can display unfaithfulness, He remains faithful, for he cannot deny himself. He will strengthen you. he will stand by you. He will protect you. He will continue to provide for you supernaturally. What an amazing and mighty God we serve. His faithfulness is to all generations. You have nothing to fear because the Lord God Almighty is always near!
Confidence in Heaven’s Government and Jesus our Commander
Perhaps the greatest disappointment a great majority of Americans have seen is watching our government system move farther and farther away from God and the Bible. George Washington once said, “It is impossible to rightly govern a nation without God and the Bible.” Without God and Biblical principle’s we are in great decline concerning the greatness of this nation. We must pray for our nation and believe for godly men and women to be in places of authority. But we must be reminded as well that as believers our citizenship is not of this world but the next. Isaiah 9:6-7 declares, “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the GOVERNMENT SHALL BE UPON HIS SHOULDER: and his name shall be called, Wonderful, Counselor, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace. Of the INCREASE OF HIS GOVERNMENT and peace there shall be NO END.” The Child spoken of is the redeemer Jesus our Savior! He is our commander and chief! He runs the government of Heaven and owns the world! Regardless of earthly government, we will trust in the eternal one governed by the Word of the living God! This government system will never fail! He is the same, yesterday, today and forever! And His kingdom will never end! Our confidence is always in Him!
Rejoicing in Jesus Always!
Determine to rejoice always in Jesus and His eternal words and redemption. He is the reason for the Christmas season and the reason we rejoice always! Make this Christmas season about Him, family and being thankful for all God has done this last year to sustain and bless you! He will never let you down! In God we will always trust and rejoice!
