Each year the world celebrates the Christmas Season in memory of the birth of Jesus Christ our Savior. But for those New Creations in Christ, we celebrate Emmanuel, God who is with us and God who always lives within us!
Matthew 1:23 declares, “Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, GOD IS With US.” This scripture was the fulfillment of what; Isaiah spoke about in Isaiah 7: 14, “Therefore the Lord himself shill give, you a sign; Behold a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.”
John G Lake once said, “Christ’s indwelling in the human is the mystery of mysteries, Christ’s has a purpose in you. Christ’s purpose in you is to reveal himself to you, through you, in you. The world is awakening to the marvelous truth that Christ is not only in heaven, but Christ in you.”
What an amazing reality. God himself lives within us as Master and King. This very truth makes us more than conquers in every area of life. Galatians 2:20 declares, “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I but Christ liveth in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”The Way’s translation declares, “Yes, I have shared Messiah’s crucifixion; I am living indeed, but it is not I that live, it is Messiah whose life is in me.”
With Jesus living in our hearts, we can truly say, “Emmanuel is with us,” not just during the holiday season, but all year round and for eternity. He is with you and your family now and always!
